If the Kodalux exhibit was the most unusual then the Mobile Activity Unit (MAU) was the most adaptable exhibit produced. Manufactured by Spevco, Inc. also, this transforming 53-footer had many lives throughout its career. It's been everything from a retail store to concert stage, a new product introduction platform to a show car display, to mention just a few. The introduction of the first MAU set the bar out of reach for many competitors a long fifteen years ago.
Dick is especially fond of the MAU since it was born out of his desire to create a mobile exhibit that was versatile, relatively quick to set-up and appropriate in size for many different event venues. While Dick cannot claim to have built it, he can however, claim to have conceived of its design and its transforming configuration from within a typically appearing tractor-trailer platform.
